The Rettie's Ride The Glenshee Wave

Wow! First Post! Amesomeness! Anyway, Gav and I took the opportunity to get a day in at Glenshee today. After riding the ice for a while we found this hidden gem off the side of the meal odhar run. Sadly we didn't take a proper camera so just took a few wee mobile phone clips. Here's a quick edit I've put together:

radstorm represent at the granite city invitational!!

So tonight at Garthdizzle saw the annual Granite City Invitational, where students from all over Scotland get together for an epic shred! With a covering of snow and ice the scene was set for some amazing riding.

Radstorm's very own Gav and Barry were there representing the team and a fine job they did. Gav took part in the slopestyle event before retiring to the bottom of the slope as the beer was calling out to him and he's not one to turn down the calls of a lonesome beer!! He was then later found with the mic MCing for a bit which he's a natural at!!

Barry on the other hand was like a machine flying up and down the slope for the big air and the quarter pipe events and he was killing it! Front flip nose grabs, heelside rodeo's, steezy back 1's and grabs, corked 5's and so so close to landing the corked 7's he was blasting through his bag of tricks some of which he has only just recently learned, this landed him in 3rd place, mad props to you Barry!! The quarter pipe was judged on who got the biggest air and Barry blew away the competition coming 1st as BP is not afraid to go big, so a successful night for someone who just flew in from Switzerland this afternoon and headed straight to the slope to ride!!!!

Well done guys :)

Craig's farewell shred!!!!

So cat-like craig rumbles is leaving tomorrow to travel around and surf for a few months which sounds awesome!! Although he could not leave without one final shred of the dry matt and needing to find an excuse to postpone tidying his room, haha, teamed up with natalie nutter riley for a fun wee session!!

After finding and fixing craig's toe strap it was time to shred, woohoo..... It was going good, fun times were had, craig was introduced to the mal c box but then when the camera came out to get some footage of the rumbles steeze the main man rumbles felt the pressure and what would normally come so easy and styleeeeee to him became a frustrating roll of sketchy manouvers!!!!

The camera was put away and we took to the kicker practicing some big tweaked out grabs which were fun! Hope you have a rad trip, take care and safe travels ruuuummmmbbbbblllleeeessssss from your fellow team members!!

Here's a wee edit of the day, showing team radstorm have some sketchy days of riding like everyone else but fun is still had and we come back fighting next time, oh yes, it's just part of the progression!!

The RADSTORM Handshake!!!!

Gav's night mission to Milltimber Primary School!!

Gav Rettie went on a night mission to Milltimber Primary School with his bro and fellow Radstormian Chris Rettie and photographer Chris Johnstone ready to take some SICK shots of Gav sessioning a rail that he had long drooled over and finally the epic snow conditions meant he could ride it!! Here's a couple of photo's taken by Chris Johnstone and there is a wee vid that Gav may post up some time with a story on this eventful night!!

Radstorm stepping their game up, woop!!

Saturday night saw a mini Radstorm gathering of half the team, with a snowy dryslope running nice and fast it set the scene for some amazing trickery! The highlights being Craig Rumbles STEEEEZZZZYYYY corked 7 the dude oozes style! and Backflip Barry P throwing down some huge front flips, say what?, yup and not just any old front flip but throwing a front flip high 5 to Rumbles while flying over him, booya!! News from Barry today was that he was getting front flip nose grabs off the kicker, wow I can't wait to see this. Sadly non of this is on film but a Radstorm film session will take place soon and you know it's going to be insane, haha!!
